Sebastian Nets 300th Point as Cougars Head into Playoffs
SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa.- Lehigh Carbon Community College dominated Rowan College of South Jersey-Cumberland in a women's basketball game on Tuesday, with a final score of 60-20. The game was held at Berrier Hall, and the Cougars showed their strength from the beginning, leading 16-0 in the first quarter.
Guard Emily Sebastian (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Christian Academy) led the scoring for Lehigh Carbon with 26 points, followed by Callie Cook (Emmaus HS) with 14 points and Jacksymerth Martinez (Emmaus HS) with 15 points. The team had a solid shooting percentage of 41.8% from the field and 63.6% from the free-throw line. Sebastian now has 300 points scored in total for the season.
Overall, the Cougars strong performance and balanced scoring led them to a decisive victory over the Dukes. The win showcased their teamwork and skill on both ends of the court, solidifying their position as a formidable team heading into the Region 19 playoffs.
RSJ-Cumberland drops to 4-12 overall.
Lehigh Carbon improves to 9-11 overall.
